‘TELLING THE AFRICAN STORY THROUGH MODELLING.’
Mutima is a Ganda word that means heart while Wangu is a Swahili word that means mine or my. In this case however, Mutima-Wangu means ‘MY HEART’.
The foundation’s focus is to incorporate modelling, fashion, literature and art with a vision of globalising Africa’s rich traditions both now and in the past, through photography.
The body intends to use especially modelling as a form of activism to create awareness thus the slogan ‘Modelling with a purpose’
Themes looked at under Mutima Wangu Include;
Poverty, Suffering, Loyalty Vs. Disloyalty , Religion Vs Faith, History , Culture & Tradition from across the African continent.
The Foundation was founded by Ugandan Model and Writer Based in Ghana, Lunkuse Betty Paulls aka Betty Ssekirevu Lunkuse in November 2016. The Founder is also a student at Ashesi University Ghana.
